Rescue on river Suir

At 19.48 hours on 16th June 2012 , WCRR were tasked by Irish Coast Guard ( MRCC) to assist a vessel with engine failue and aground with two persons on board at Mooncoin on the river Suir.    WCRR Unit launched and were on scene at 20.15 hours and transferred a father and daughter on to rescue boat , made safe the stricken vessel , and returned the resued persons to shore. Unit stood down and returned to base at 21.30 hours.
