At 16.34 hours on 12th January 2013 , Unit was tasked by Irish Coast Guard, MRCC, to go to assistance of a motorboat in troble with engine failure on river suir with two persons on board. Rescue boat was launched and on scene at 1700 hours . Vessel in trouble was located and WCRR crew established a tow and took vessel and passengers safely back to Waterford City and unit stood down at 17.50 hours and returned to base.
