Assistance at an incident in vicinity of Rice Bridge

At 23.55 hours on Friday 6th September 2013 , WCRR CRBI was tasked by Waterford Gardai to assist in a search with the Waterford Fire Service for a young person believed to have entered the river at rice bridge.  Unit launched Lifeboat and carried out a search of the area with negative results.   The person believed to have entered the water was located by Gardai at 0125 hours and the Unit was stood down by MRCC , Irish Coast Guard who were coordinating the Units engaged in the search.   This was the third call out on the 6th September and credit is due to all our staff who attended at these incidents.
