At 0906 hours on Wednesday 23rd July 2014 , WCRR CRBI were tasked by Irish Coast Guard ( MRCC ) to go to the assistance of a Yacht aground on the River Suir. Rescue boat was launched at 0915 hours and a 50 foot Yacht was located agroud in the main river chanel at back of Waterford Castle. Assistance was provided to the Yacht by crew of resue boat and rescue boat returned to base and was stood down at 10,oo hours. Yacht was refloated on rising tide.
