At 13,46 hours on Sunday 27th July 2014 , our pagers were activated and Rescue boat was launched at 13,56 hours and proceeded down river to where a 33 foot yacht was reported to be aground. The yacht was discovered aground in the main chanel near Waterford Castle with three persons on board. As yacht could not make way under its own power a towing line was deployed and the yacht was refloated successfully. MRCC requested us to shadow it to port of Waterford. Rescue boat returned to base when yacht was secured and stood down at 1500 hours.
