Incident in vicinity of Rice Bridbe
At 08.53 hours on Wednesday 27th August 2014 , our pagers were activated by Irish Coast Guard (MRCC) . Rescue boat was launched at 0859 hours and directed to the vicinity of Rice bridge on River Suir where a male was seen entering the river. Rescue boat commenced a search and was joined by other emergency services on river including rescue helicopter. The search continued until Monday 1st September 2014 when a body was recovered from the river by one of the emergency services. Our sympathy is extended to family of deceased , R.I.P.
