On the 6th January 2013 at 4.55am , WCRR was tasked by the Irish Coast Guard ( MRCC ) to assist at an incident on the river suir. WCRR rescue boat was launched and was on scene with Waterford Gardai and Fire Service , and the HSE Ambulance Service. Incident was attended to and the Unit was stood down and returned to Base.
