On Saturday 20th July 2013, WCRR CRBI was tasked by MRCC Irish Coast Guard to launch to assist a person in difficulty in the river Suir , together with Rescue 117, Waterford Fire Service, Dunmore East Coast Guard, HSE ambulance and Gardai. Person was located and removed by ambulance to Waterford Regional Hospital.
Unit was retasked by MRCC to conduct a search with Rescue 117 for a missing person. Unit conducted a search of River Suir from Waterford to Creaden Head with negative results.
