On the 20th July 2012 at 16.15 hours , WCRR were tasked by MRCC ( Irish Coast Guard) and Waterford Gardai to respond to an incident on the River Suir.    On scene  were Waterford City Fire Service , Waterford Gardai and HSE Ambulance Service.   One person was  removed by ambulance to Waterford Regional Hospital . 

We would like to thank everyone who took part in and supported our annual Kayak run today 14th July 2012 , from Cheekpoint to Waterford.    With a special thanks to all the rescue services , Dunmore East Coastguard , Waterford Civil Defence , South Tipperary Civil Defence , who supplied safety boats  for the event 

We would like to thanks the Management and Staff at Dignity Bar , Johnstown , Waterford for the effort that they put into organising our successful fundraising event held there an Friday night , 22nd June.

At 19.48 hours on 16th June 2012 , WCRR were tasked by Irish Coast Guard ( MRCC) to assist a vessel with engine failue and aground with two persons on board at Mooncoin on the river Suir.    WCRR Unit launched and were on scene at 20.15 hours and transferred a father and daughter on to

At 16.00 hours on the 6th June , WCRR were tasked by Irish Coastguard to assist at an incident on the River Suir at Waterford.    The WCRR Unit was dispatched to the scene and remained on station until 18.00 hours when they were stood down by MRCC Irish Coastguard and returned to base.  

Congratulations to our six members who successfully completed and passed the intensive night navigation course over the weekend 2nd -3rd June.

At 23.45 on Tuesday 22 nd May 2012,  WCRR were tasked by Waterford Gardai to assist at an incident at the River Suir at Waterford.   WCRR responded and assisted at the incident and were later stood down by An Garda Siochana and returned to base.
